Partner programme terms
Last updated 28 July 2026
1. Who these apply to
These terms cover anyone accepted into the Joyful Muslims partner (affiliate) programme. Acceptance is at our discretion and does not create employment, agency or partnership in the legal sense.
2. What you earn
Unless we’ve agreed otherwise with you in writing: 30% of the subscription revenue we receive from each member you introduce, for their first 12 months as a paying subscriber. This applies to Joyful+ subscriptions bought on the web, on the App Store or on Google Play.
Commission is calculated on what we actually receive. Where a store applies regional pricing and does not report the amount to us, we may calculate from our published list price — and in that case the figure is reviewed by a person before it is paid, never approved automatically.
Book purchases (BookKit Keys) are tracked but do not currently earn commission.
3. How someone is credited to you
A person is credited to you when they create an account through your link. First introduction wins: if someone already has an account, or was already credited to another partner, a later click does not move them to you.
Because Apple provides no way to identify who referred an app install, crediting depends on the account being created through your link. We tell you this plainly so you can direct people accordingly.
4. When you get paid
Earnings are held for approximately 30 days after each payment clears, so refunds and chargebacks can settle. After that they become payable and are sent monthly, provided your balance is at least $50. Below that, it rolls to the next month.
Payments are made by bank transfer or PayPal to the details you give us. You are responsible for the accuracy of those details and for any transfer fees charged by your provider.
5. Refunds and reversals
If a member is refunded, the related commission is reversed, including if it has already been paid — in which case it is deducted from your next payment. A subscription that simply ends or is not renewed is not a refund, and you keep what you earned on the months that member paid for.
6. What you may not do
- Refer yourself, or use your own link for your own subscription.
- Bid on “Joyful Muslims” or close variants in paid search.
- Post your link on coupon, deal, cashback or voucher sites.
- Send unsolicited email or messages, or post your link as spam.
- Claim the app provides religious rulings, or that narration is by human narrators — it is AI-generated, and we say so publicly.
- Describe features, pricing or content the app does not have.
- Present yourself as speaking for Joyful Muslims, or use our name in a way that implies you do.
You must disclose that your link is a partner link, clearly and near the link itself, as required in most countries including under FTC guidance in the US.
7. Ending it
Either of us may end this at any time, for any reason. If we end it because of a breach of section 6 — particularly self-referral or misrepresenting the product — we may withhold unpaid earnings connected to that breach. Otherwise, earnings already accrued are paid out normally.
8. Tax and invoicing
You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn. Depending on where you are, you may need to invoice us, and VAT treatment differs between countries — within the EU, reverse charge may apply. We may ask for tax details or an invoice before paying. If you are unsure what applies to you, take your own advice.
9. Changes
We may change these terms. If we change commission rates or payout rules, we’ll tell active partners by email before it takes effect, and the change will not reduce commission already earned.
