The disciplined manners of the believer — in dress, eating, sleep, travel, speech, and companionship — through which worship extends into the whole of life

"beautifying expressions, and protecting them from error and flaw. It is a branch of general proper conduct. And God knows best. Types of Etiquette Chapter: Etiquette is of three types: etiquette with اللّٰه, etiquette with His Messenger, peace be upon him, and His law, and etiquette with His creation. Etiquette with اللّٰه is of three kinds: The first is to maintain one's dealings with Him free from any deficiency."

"due to his immersion in the witnessing of the Truth in the presence of unity, which distracts him from etiquette. His annihilation from etiquette in this state is true etiquette. Thus, he finds relief from the burden of carrying the weights of etiquette, for his immersion in the witnessing of the Truth leaves nothing of the burdens of etiquette upon him."

"this is considered a distraction from the truth and an occupation away from observing their own state. The etiquette of these people is the etiquette of presence, while the etiquette of those is the etiquette of absence. As for "abstaining from any state that opposes the state of unity," it means that the servant is absorbed in witnessing their annihilation in the oneness of God and their unity with اللّٰه, away from any state that opposes this annihilation and unity."
