Ansar

How the scholars use Ansar.

1. "Badr. Abu Bakr advised him, then he consulted them again, and Umar gave his advice. Then some of the Ansar said, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is referring to us, O group of Ansar. One of the Ansar said, O Messenger of Allah, we will not say as the children of Israel said to Moses, go you and your Lord and fight. Indeed, we are sitting right here. But by the One who sent you with the truth, if you were to take us to the depths of Barak al-Ghamad, we would follow you. This is a sound chain of narration according to the conditions of Sahih. Ahmad also reported from Anas ibn Malik that the Messenger"

2. "He also narrated that the emigrants on the day of Badr were a little over 60, and the Ansar were a little over 240. Another narration from Ibn Abbas stated that the emigrants were 70, and the Ansar were 236. The bearer of the Prophet's banner was Ali ibn Abi Talib, and for the Ansar it was Sa'd ibn Ubadah. There is a possibility that the Prophet, peace be upon him, was counted among them while other counts excluded him."

3. "Three young men from the Ansar stepped forward, Af and Mu'ad, the sons of al-Harith, and their mother was Afrah, and the third was Abdullah ibn Ru'aha as it is said. They asked, Who are you? The Ansar replied, We are a group from the Ansar. The challenger said, We have no need for you. In another narration, they said, We are noble equals, but bring us out someone from our kin."
