Dawud

داود
Definition

David — prophet, king, and the recipient of the Zabur. The iron was softened in his hand (Qur'an 34:10). His repentance after the trial of the two litigants is the model of prophetic remorse.

As understood in the classical tradition of Ibn Kathir and the scholars of his school.
