Zabur

The Psalms — the scripture given to Dawud. Mentioned in Qur'an 4:163 and 17:55. Distinct from the Tawrah (given to Musa) and the Injil (given to 'Isa).

"The Torah was revealed to Moses over six nights in Ramadan. The Zabur was revealed to David on the twelfth night of Ramadan, 482 years after the Torah. The Injil was revealed to Jesus on the eighteenth night of Ramadan, 1050 years after the Zabur. The Quran was revealed to Muhammad, peace be upon him, on the twenty-fourth of Ramadan."

"Abu Zuhra al-Damaski narrated that the Torah was revealed to Moses in six nights during Ramadan. The Zabur was revealed to David in 12 nights, 482 years after the Torah. The Gospel was revealed to Jesus in 18 nights, 1,150 years after the Zabur. The Quran was revealed to Muhammad, peace be upon him, on the 24th of Ramadan."

"The hadith "God is more attentive to a man with a good voice reciting the Quran than the owner of a songstress to his songstress" was previously mentioned in the Book of Recitation of the Quran. The hadith regarding David's beautiful voice in lamentation upon himself and in reciting the Zabur does not have a known origin. The hadith "He has been given a flute from the flutes of the family of David" said in praise of Abu Musa, was mentioned in the Recitation of the Quran."
