Ishmael responded, I will help you. Ibrahim said, Allah has commanded me to build a house here, pointing to a small hillock in the area. Together they raised the foundations of the house. Ishmael brought the stones while Ibrahim built. When the building grew high, Ishmael brought a stone for Ibrahim to stand on while building, and Ishmael handed him stones. They both prayed, Our Lord, except from us, indeed you are the hearing, the knowing."
