Al-Qādir

How the scholars invoke Al-Qādir.

1. "She replied that children are from Allah's will. The father then arranged another marriage with a woman who had children. Al-Qadir repeated his offer, and she agreed to stay. After a year, the king questioned her, and she revealed that Al-Qadir had no need for women. Al-Qadir fled, and it is said he killed the second woman for revealing his secret."

"The Etiquette of Conduct Authored by Shaykh Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani May God sanctify his noble secret The Book's Chain of Transmission In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, in Him I place my trust My grandfather, the learned, wise, pious, ascetic, devout imam, the exemplar of the shaykhs, the pole of Islam, the beacon for the ascetics, and the guide for the worshippers in religion, the vanquisher of innovation, the supporter of the Sunnah, informed me: Abu Muhammad Abd al-Qadir ibn Abi Salih al-Jilani May God be pleased with him and grant him satisfaction, and may He gather us with him in the abode of His mercy;"

3. "She entered the fire and died. May Allah have mercy on her. Al-Hafiz ibn Asakir also narrated from unreliable sources about Al-Qadir visiting the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, during prayer. Al-Qadir reportedly conveyed a message of Allah's favor upon the Prophet and his nation. However, this narration is considered fabricated, with neither the chain of narrators nor the content being authentic."

4. "Al-Hafiz ibn Asakir also narrated that Al-Khidr and Ilyas were brothers. sons of a king. Ilyas suggested to their father that Al-Qadir, who had no desire for power, should marry. The father arranged a marriage with a beautiful woman. Al-Qadir told her he had no need for women and offered her a choice to leave or stay and worship Allah while keeping his secret."
