"with seventeen disciples, and they were surrounded. When the intruders entered, Allah made them all appear like Jesus. The intruders accused them of bewitching, and demanded Jesus be brought forward, or they would kill them all. Jesus asked his companions, Who will buy himself from you today with paradise? A man volunteered, saying, I am. He went out claiming to be Jesus, and Allah had made him look like Jesus. They took him, killed, and crucified him, believing they had killed Jesus. The Christians thought the same, but Allah lifted Jesus on that day."

"from anyone what I have encountered from you oh son of Mary. These accounts illustrate the trials and steadfastness of Jesus son of Mary in the face of Iblis's challenges. It is narrated that Jesus prayed in Baid al-maqdis Jerusalem and as he was leaving Iblis appeared to him on a certain path. Iblis detained Jesus persistently making offers and speaking to him saying it is not befitting for you to be a servant. Despite Iblis's persistence Jesus sought to be freed from him but could not escape. Among Iblis's words were it is not fitting for you oh Jesus to be a servant. It is said that Jesus sought help from his Lord and Gabriel and Michael approached. Upon seeing them"

"test my Lord but my Lord tests me if he wills. Recognizing it was Satan Jesus departed from him. It is also narrated that Jesus used to pray on top of a mountain. Iblis came to him and said are you the one who claims everything is predestined. Jesus affirmed this. Iblis then said throw yourself from this mountain and say it was predestined for me. Jesus replied oh accursed Allah tests the servants and the servants do not test Allah the Almighty. In another account Iblis encountered Jesus and said oh Jesus son of Mary it is of such great magnitude of your divinity that you spoke in"

"have cause to be disheartened by me. Do not make my misfortune in my religion, and do not set over me one who will not have mercy on me. Jesus also said, No one attains the truth of faith until he does not care who consumes the world. He would say, I contemplated creation, and found that those who were not created are more enviable to me than those who were. On the Day of Judgment, Jesus will be the leader of the ascetics. Those fleeing with their sins will be gathered with Jesus. One day, while Jesus was sleeping on a stone, savoring the pleasure of sleep, Iblis passed by and said, O Jesus, do you not claim that you desire nothing from the pleasures of the"

"to you crying and screaming, while the people around you laughed in joy. So strive for yourself to be when they weep on the day of your death, laughing and joyful. When Yahya and Isa met, Isa asked Yahya to seek forgiveness for him, acknowledging Yahya's virtue. Yahya, in turn, asked Isa to seek forgiveness for him, recognizing Isa's virtue. Isa then said, You are better than me. I greeted you and Allah greeted you. Thus, Allah acknowledged their virtues. In another verse, Yahya is described as a leader and chaste and a prophet from among the righteous. The term chaste is understood to mean one who does not approach women."

"another narration where the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, Al-Hassan and Al-Husayn are the leaders of the youth of the people of Paradise except for the two cousins Yahya and Isa, peace be upon them. Abu Sulayman narrated that Isa ibn Maryam and Yahya ibn Zakariya were walking together and Yahya accidentally bumped into a woman. Isa said to him, O cousin, today you have committed a sin that I do not think will ever be forgiven for you. Yahya asked, What is it, O cousin? Isa replied, A woman you bumped into. Yahya said, By Allah, I did not feel her. Isa responded, Glory be to Allah, your body is with me"

"When Yahya and Isa met, Isa asked Yahya to seek forgiveness for him, acknowledging Yahya's virtue. Yahya, in turn, asked Isa to seek forgiveness for him, recognizing Isa's virtue. Isa then said, You are better than me, I greeted you and Allah greeted you. Thus Allah acknowledged their virtues. In another verse, Yahya is described as a leader and chaste and a prophet from among the righteous."

"Their hair will be curly, and they will be 33 years old. Another hadith regarding the age of Jesus and the beauty of Yusuf reports that Jesus was raised when he was 33 years old. The hadith narrated by al-Hakim and Yaqub ibn Sufyan al-Fasawi tells us that Fatima bint al-Husayn shared a saying of Aisha. Aisha recounted that Fatima informed her that the messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said no prophet lived after another except for half the lifespan of the former. He mentioned that Jesus, son of Mary, lived for 120 years, and he saw himself living towards 60. This narration is considered strange. Al-Hafiz ibn Asakir clarified that Jesus did not reach this age."
