Ismāʿīl ﷺ

"and a father his son. Ibrahim then said, O Ishmael, Allah has commanded me to do something. Ishmael replied, Then do what your Lord has commanded you. Ibrahim asked, Will you help me? Ishmael responded, I will help you. Ibrahim said, Allah has commanded me to build a house here, pointing to a small hillock in the area. Together they raised the foundations of the house. Ishmael brought the stones while Ibrahim built. When the building grew high, Ishmael brought a stone for Ibrahim to stand on while building, and Ishmael handed him stones. They both prayed, Our Lord, except from us, indeed you are the hearing, the knowing."

"indeed you are the hearing, the knowing. It is narrated that Ibn Abbas recounted the events between Ibrahim and his family. He left with Ishmael and his mother, carrying a water skin. The rest of the narration aligns with what was previously mentioned. This hadith consists of the words of Ibn Abbas and includes some elements from the Isra'iliyat, indicating that Ishmael was an infant at that time. According to the people of the Torah, Allah commanded Ibrahim to circumcise his son Ishmael and everyone with him, including his slaves. Ibrahim complied with this command when he was ninety-nine years old and Ishmael was thirteen. This act"

"as they could distract worshippers. These horns remained in the house until a fire affected them. The evidence suggests that the sacrifice was Ismail, as he lived in Mecca while there is no record of Ishaq visiting during his childhood. The Quran seems to indicate Ismail, as it mentions the sacrifice story followed by the good news of Isaac. Some claim it was Ishaq, based on Israeli traditions which have distortions. They assert that Allah commanded Ibrahim to sacrifice his only son, but Ismail was the firstborn, not Ishaq. This claim is seen as driven by envy, as Ismail is the ancestor of the Arabs, including the Prophet Muhammad"

"After some time, Ibrahim returned and found Ismail trimming arrows near Zamzam. They greeted each other warmly like a father and son. Ibrahim then told Ismail that Allah had commanded him to build a house at a specific location. Ismail agreed to help, and together they raised the foundations of the house. Ismail brought the stones, and Ibrahim built the structure."

"The boy grew, learned Arabic from them, and became dear to them. When he matured, they married him to one of their women. Ismail's mother passed away, and Abraham came after Ismail got married, intending to see his family, but found Ismail absent. He inquired of Ismail's wife, who replied that he had gone to seek provision."

"while others said it was Noah, and some said Adam, which seems more likely. Allah knows best. The Arabs before Ismail, peace be upon him, are known as the pure Arabs. They include numerous tribes such as Ad, Thamud, Jurhum, Tasim, Jadis, Amim, Midian, Imlik, Abil, Jasim, Qahtan, the descendants of Yaqtan, and others. As for the Arabized Arabs, they are from the descendants of Ismail ibn Ibrahim, the friend of Allah. Ismail, peace be upon them, was the first to speak eloquent Arabic. He learned the language from the people of Jurhum, who settled near his mother Hagar in the Haram. Allah endowed him with the highest eloquence and articulation. Likewise,"

"Thus God attributed to Ishmael every beautiful quality, made him his prophet and messenger, and cleared him of all accusations made by the ignorant. He commanded that his believing servants have faith in what was revealed to him. Scholars of genealogy and history have mentioned that Ishmael was the first to ride horses which were wild before him. He tamed them and rode them. It is narrated that the messenger of God, peace be upon him, said, Acquire horses and keep them, for they are the patrimony of your father Ishmael."

"And he said, Say, We have believed in God and what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Ibrahim, Ishmael, Ishaq, Yaqub, and the tribes. And he said, Or do you say that Ibrahim, Ishmael, Ishaq, Yaqub, and the tribes were Jews or Christians? Say, Are you more knowledgeable, or is God? Thus God attributed to Ishmael every beautiful quality, made him his prophet and messenger, and cleared him of all accusations made by the ignorant."
