Riyāḍ al-Ṣāliḥīn
Volumes 1 & 2 · Imam al-Nawawī

The Gardens of the Righteous — al-Nawawī’s arrangement of the Prophet’s ﷺ words on intention, sincerity, patience and the everyday conduct of a believer — complete, in two volumes. Read aloud in mosques for seven centuries. Never before narrated in English, from the Arabic, cover to cover.

Sponsor it and your name travels with the book — in the app’s dedication list, the printed colophon, and on this wall. For three months after release it is the first book in the app’s hero, so your name is the first thing every listener sees.

Nothing is funded yet. The first $100 begins Volume 1’s translation.

Put your name in the book

Joyful Muslims is a Danish sole proprietorship, not a registered charity. This is sponsorship of production — not a donation, not zakāt.

Choose your place in the book

Every rung is one payment, in US dollars, through Stripe. Apple Pay, Google Pay or card.

The dedication wall

Every name here goes into the book itself.

Every book ever sponsored, and everyone who funded it, is kept on the permanent record.

What a sponsorship pays for

Translation

Both volumes, from the Arabic critical edition, with the Islamic terminology glossary, unit by unit — then a full quality pass before a word is narrated.

Narration

Every ḥadīth, every isnād trimmed to its narrator, every honorific spoken in full; chapter markers and the Living Manuscript word sync.

Study

The StudyKit — guided chapters, glossary, and recall — so the book can be studied, not only heard.

The floor

Hosting and the free hours. A sponsored book stays open to every listener, in every country, for as long as the library stands.

New listeners

A share goes to reaching people who have never heard the library exists — so the book, and the names in it, are found.

First in the hero

For three months after release the book sits first in the app — the first thing every listener sees when they open it.

Most of this is one person’s working weeks. Sponsorship is what makes those weeks possible without putting the book behind a wall.

إِذَا مَاتَ الإِنْسَانُ انْقَطَعَ عَمَلُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ ثَلَاثٍ

“When a person dies, their deeds end — except three: a continuing charity, knowledge that benefits, and a righteous child who prays for them.”

Questions, answered plainly

Is this a donation? Is it zakāt?

No to both. Joyful Muslims is a Danish sole proprietorship (CVR 46387996), not a registered charity, so this is a sponsorship of production — it pays for the work of translating, narrating and publishing this book — and it is not tax-deductible and not zakāt-eligible. We say this plainly because the tradition we are recording would expect nothing less.

Can I dedicate it to someone who has passed away?

Yes. Write the dedication as you would want it read — “in memory of my mother, Fatima” — and it appears with your name on the wall, in the app, and in the book’s colophon. Many sponsors do exactly this.

What does the money actually pay for?

Two things. First, the making: translation of both volumes from the Arabic critical edition, narration, chapter-by-chapter review, the Living Manuscript word sync, the StudyKit, the PDF edition, and hosting — most of it is one person’s working weeks. Second, the reaching: a share goes to putting the book in front of new listeners who have never heard the library exists, so that the names in it are seen. Sponsorship is what lets the finished book stay free at the floor for every listener, forever.

What if the book is funded past its goal?

It flows straight into the next book on the shelf. Nothing is held back, and the wall keeps every name that arrives after the bar is full.

When will the book be released?

Volume 1 on Friday 23 October 2026, Volume 2 on Friday 20 November 2026. Patrons and above hear each volume a week early. From release, the book sits first in the app’s hero for three months — the first thing every listener sees when they open it. If production slips, sponsors are told first and told why.

What does “first in the hero for three months” mean?

The app opens on a hero — one book, full-bleed, before the shelves. From the day Volume 1 releases until three months later, that book is Riyāḍ al-Ṣāliḥīn. Every person who opens the app in that time sees it first, and the dedication list with it. It is the most-seen place in the library, and it is the sponsors’ for a quarter.

Can I stay anonymous?

Yes — tick the box at checkout. The wall and the book show “Anonymous”; only we know who you are, and only so we can send the book.
