Al-Mājid

How the scholars invoke Al-Mājid.

1. "and its narrators are reliable according to Sahih standards, except that Abd al-Majid ibn Abd al-Aziz ibn Abu Dawud, although Muslim included him and he was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Ma'in and al-Nasa'i, was weakened by many. It was also narrated by al-Harith ibn Abu Usamah in his Musnad from the hadith of Anas with a similar wording but with a weak chain of transmission."

2. "His name "Al-Hamid" (The Praiseworthy), "Al-Majid" (The Glorious) prevents leaving a person neglected, uncommanded, and unprohibited, unrewarded, and unpunished. Similarly, His name "Al-Hakim" (The Wise) rejects this, as does His name "Al-Malik" (The King) and "Al-Hayy" (The Living), which prevents Him from being inactive, for the essence of life is action."
