Ar-Razzāq

How the scholars invoke Ar-Razzāq.

1. "and the afflicted. Adam asked, O Lord, will you not make my children equal? Allah replied, O Adam, I wish to be thanked. This was similarly narrated by Abd al-Razzaq from Ma'mar from Qatada from Al-Hassan in a similar manner. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, When Allah created Adam and breathed the spirit into him, he sneezed and said, All praise is due to Allah. He praised Allah by Allah's permission. His Lord said to him, May your Lord have mercy upon you, O Adam. Go to those angels, a group of them sitting, and greet them. He went and said, Peace be upon you. And they replied, And peace be upon you,"

2. "As for 'khushban,' it is a plural of a plural, or it is wood with an added 'alif' and 'nun,' like 'sudan' for 'black.' Abd Al-Razzaq narrated from Anas, who said: "Sa'd and Ibn Mas'ud entered upon Salman when he was dying, and he wept. He was asked, 'What makes you weep?' He said, 'A covenant that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, made with us, which we did not fulfill.' He said, 'Let the provision of one of you from this world be like the provision of a traveler.' As for you, O Sa'd, fear Allah in your judgment when you judge, in your division when you divide, and in your intention when you intend.""

3. "of the heavens and all that is in them, including the stars at the very beginning of creation. Abd al-Razzaq narrated that Sulaiman, peace be upon him, went out with his companions to seek rain. He saw an ant standing on one leg, raising it to the sky seeking rain. He told his companions, Return, for you have been granted rain. This ant has sought rain, and it has been answered. A similar narration is reported about a prophet who saw an ant raising its leg to the sky, and he told the people, Return, for you have been answered because of this ant. Al-Sudi mentioned that during a drought in Sulaiman's time, he"

4. "And whoever is hindered by his deeds will not be hastened by his lineage. This was narrated by Muslim from the Hadith of Abu Mu'awiyah. Imam Ahmad narrated from Abd al-Razzaq, from Mamar, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Ahar Abu Muslim, from Abu Hurairah and Abu Sa'id, from the messenger of God, peace be upon him. He said, no people gather to remember God except that the angels surround them, mercy envelops them, tranquility descends upon them, and God mentions them to those with him."
