ذو الكفلThe Qurʾan praises him among the patient. The classical sources transmit little beyond his name — a prophet known for fulfilling a specific kafālah (guarantee).

"Indeed, we chose them for an exclusive quality, remembrance of the home. And indeed, they are, to us, among the chosen and the excellent. And mention Ishmael, and Al-Yasa, and Dhu al-Kifl. And all are among the excellent. And he said, And Ishmael, and Idris, and Dhu al-Kifl, all were of the patient. And we admitted them into our mercy."

"The prophet repeated, and the young man affirmed: "I shall fulfill it. When the prophet died, the young man succeeded him in his position and was known as Dhu al-Kifl, named so because he took upon himself the responsibility (kifl) of controlling his anger and fulfilled it. Wahb ibn Munabbih said: "Disbelief has four pillars: anger, desire, foolishness, and greed.""
