Blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ

"and the Mu'awwidhatayn once each, and seeks God's forgiveness a hundred times, and seeks forgiveness for himself and his parents a hundred times, and sends blessings upon the Prophet, peace be upon him, a hundred times, and disavows his own strength and power and seeks refuge with Allah, then says: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Adam is the chosen of Allah, and His primordial creation, and Ibrahim is the friend of Allah, and Musa is the speaker with Allah, and Isa is the spirit of Allah, and Muhammad is the beloved of Allah," he will receive rewards equal to the number of those who claim God has a child and those who do not."

"Abu Musa al-Madaini mentioned a saying of Ali: "Praise Allah frequently through prayer on Sunday," but without a chain of narrators. Anas ibn Malik narrated from the Prophet: "Whoever seeks forgiveness from Allah ten times and sends blessings upon the Prophet ten times, Allah Almighty will forgive him all his sins. He also narrated that the Prophet said: "Whoever prays twelve rak'ahs on Monday, reciting Al-Fatiha and Ayat al-Kursi in each rak'ah, and upon finishing, recites 'Say: He is Allah, the One' twelve times and seeks forgiveness twelve times, will be called on the Day of Resurrection to receive his reward from Allah."

"a heavenly caller announces, 'Rise, forgiven, for your sins have been replaced with good deeds. He further stated: "Whenever people sit and do not remember Allah, Glorified and Exalted, nor send blessings upon the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, it becomes a source of regret for them on the Day of Judgment." And David, peace be upon him, said: "My Lord, if You see me passing by the gatherings of the rememberers to the gatherings of the heedless, break my legs to prevent me from reaching them, for it is a blessing that You bestow upon me.""

"As for the remembrances, all of them do not require prostration for forgetfulness except three: the qunut, the first tashahhud, and invoking blessings upon the Prophet within it. This is in contrast to transitional takbirs, remembrances during bowing and prostration, and during rising from them, as the bowing and prostration in their form differ from custom and achieve the meaning of worship even with silence from remembrances and transitional takbirs, as the absence of those remembrances does not change the form of worship."

"Kabbal Ahbar added, Every dawn, 70,000 angels descend, surround the grave, strike with their wings, and send blessings upon the Prophet, peace be upon him. When night falls, another group ascends, and the same number descends and does likewise, until the earth splits and he emerges with 70,000 angels honoring him. It is recommended when visiting graves, to stand with one's back to the chibla, facing the deceased, and to greet them without touching, wiping, or kissing the grave, as these are customs not practiced in Islam."

"Now, let's reflect on the virtue of sending blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. Allah, the Exalted, has said: "Indeed, Allah and His angels confer blessings upon the Prophet. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace. One day, the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, came with good news evident on his face."

"The repetition is reported in the morning and evening without this specific phrasing. It is said that whoever sends blessings upon the Prophet ten times in the morning and evening will receive his intercession on the Day of Judgment, though there is a disconnection in the narration. There is a hadith about repeating "I seek refuge in Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from the accursed devil."

"Now, consider this narration from Dabbah ibn Muhsin al-Anzi. Abu Musa al-Ash'ari was our governor in Basra, and whenever he delivered a sermon, he praised Allah and sent blessings upon the Prophet, peace be upon him, and then he would invoke blessings for 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him. This angered me, so I stood up and said, "Why do you speak of him but do not do the same for his companion?"

"The Prophet set a time for trimming nails, plucking armpit hair, and shaving pubic hair for a duration of forty days. It is narrated that Gabriel, upon him be peace, advised the Prophet to command his nation to maintain cleanliness, including washing finger joints and cleaning nails. The grime that accumulates on the body due to perspiration and road dust can be removed in the bathhouse."

"Al-Tirmidhi also recorded this narration from Al-Husayn ibn Ali from his father and declared it good and authentic. Regarding the Hadith encouraging the increase of blessings upon the Prophet on Friday, it was recorded by Abu Dawood, Al-Nasa'i, Ibn Majah, Ibn Hibban, and Al-Hakim, who deemed it correct according to the condition of Bukhari, from the narration of Aws ibn Aws."

"upon hearing the adhan and iqama, which makes intercession permissible, is narrated by Bukhari from the narration of Jabir without mentioning iqama, intercession, or the blessings upon the Prophet. Al-Mustaghfiri mentioned it in "Al-Da‘awat" when hearing the prayer call, and Ibn Wahb added mentioning prayer and intercession with a weak chain."

"Then I was raised to an even higher state, reciting it as if hearing it from Gabriel, upon him be peace, delivering it to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. Then Allah brought me to another station, and I now hear it from the Speaker Himself. Then I found in it a sweetness and bliss that I cannot be patient without.""

"Finally, he should sleep facing the qibla on his right side, sending blessings upon the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, until sleep overtakes him. Karz inquired from whom Al-Khidr learned this, and Al-Khidr replied that he had witnessed the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, teaching this supplication."

"Why did you, O 'Umar, summon me from my land without any sin or crime I committed? He asked, "What happened between you and my deputy? I replied, "He would deliver speeches, praise Allah, send blessings upon the Prophet, peace be upon him, and then pray for you. That angered me, so I confronted him. He then complained to you.""

"The compiler mentioned it correctly in "Tab Al-Sama'". Upon him be peace at Al-Abtah, and he fainted. It is narrated that when he entered into prayer, a sound was heard from his chest like the sound of a boiling pot. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Gabriel never came to me without trembling in fear of the Almighty."

"upon him be peace. It is said that she was the twin of Abd Allah, the son of God's Messenger, God's peace and blessings be upon him. He, upon him be peace, left no offspring except through her. Al-Zubayr ibn Bakkar said: It has been related that on the wedding night of Ali and Fatima, he, upon him be peace, performed ablution and poured the water over him and over Fatima, and prayed for them that their offspring be blessed."

"She made both emigrations, to Abyssinia and to Medina, and she was among the righteous women. He, upon him be peace, used to visit her in her home and say: She is my mother after my mother. Likewise Abu Bakr and Umar used to visit her in her home, as was mentioned earlier in the account of the freed servants. She died five months after him, upon him be peace; and it is said six months."

"Omar questioned him about speaking to those who had decomposed and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam replied that they could hear him but could not respond. It is said that Salih peace be upon him moved to the sacred house of God and remained there until he passed away. Imam Ahmed narrated that when the Prophet Salih peace and blessings be upon him passed by the valley of Usfan during Hajj he mentioned that Hud and Salih peace be upon them had passed through it calling out to perform Hajj at the ancient house. The mention of the prophets passing through the valley of Al-Hijr from the land of Thamud during the year of Tabuk"

"She was buried at night, on the eve of Tuesday, the third of Ramadan in the year eleven. It is said she died two months after him, upon him be peace; and it is said seventy days; and it is said seventy-five days; and it is said three months; and it is said eight months. The sound view is what is established in the Sahih by way of al-Zuhri from Urwa from Aisha, that Fatima lived six months after the Prophet, God's peace and blessings be upon him, and was buried at night."

"According to this, there would be thousands of years between Adam and Noah, and Allah knows best. In summary, Allah the Exalted sent Noah, upon him be peace, when idols and tyrants were worshipped, and people indulged in misguidance and disbelief. Allah sent him as a mercy to the servants. He was the first messenger sent to the inhabitants of the earth, as the people will say on the Day of Judgment."

"It is said that she never laughed during the time she remained after him, upon him be peace, and that she wasted away from her grief for him and her longing for him. There is disagreement as to her age at the time: it is said twenty-seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty, or thirty-five — this last being far-fetched, while those before it are nearer the truth, and God knows best."

And it is said that he commanded his people to purify themselves there, then ascend the hill and supplicate, whereby Allah lifted the torment from them. There is a large nearby village adjacent to ruins said to be the site of the famed city of Nineveh, city of Jonah. Upon him be peace. The surrounding wall is visible along with the locations of its gates. Atop the hill is a large building, a rabat, spiritual retreat, containing many houses, rooms, and ablution places, all behind one door."

It is a tall, elongated mountain. We traveled two more stages and reached the city of Nisibis, a grand and ancient city, though largely in ruins. It sits in a vast plain teeming with running waters, lush orchards, orderly trees, and abundant fruits. The city is famed for producing rose water unparalleled in fragrance and quality. A river wraps around the city like a bracelet, sourced from springs in a"

"There was no other Muslim in the city, except a Khurasani man, who stayed due to illness and travelled with us. We travelled to Bandar Salawat, spelled with an open B, resting N, open neglected D, resting R, open neglected S, and L, followed by A, and a hanging T, a small town. Our journey continued through rugged terrain with many water bodies and numerous elephants, which do not harm visitors and strangers."

"Zamzam dome. Once the call to prayer was completed, the preacher would begin his sermon, emphasizing the blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. During the sermon he would say, O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as long as there are those who circumambulate this sacred house, pointing his finger towards the exalted Kaaba."

"The Mosul bazaar is finely constructed with iron doors, surrounded by sturdy shops and houses. In this city lies the revered site of the prophet George, Jerjaz. Upon him be peace, marked by a mosque. The tomb is in a corner on the right of the entrance, located between the new mosque and the bridge gate. We were honored with visiting it and praying in its mosque."

"that while he was shooting arrows during the life of the messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, the sun eclipsed. He discarded his arrows and went to see what the prophet, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, was doing. He found the prophet, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, raising his hands, glorifying, praising, and supplicating until the sun was cleared."

"The Prophet liked good omens as seen during the journey of migration when they met a man who asked what is your name? He said Buraidah the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam remarked our matter is smoothened he also said I saw in my dream as if I were in the house of Uqba Ibn Rafi and we were brought some fresh dates from the tree of Ibn Tab Which I interpreted as elevation for us in this world Well-being for us in the hereafter and that our religion has become pleasant as for superstition Muawiyah Ibn al-Hakam said Oh messenger of Allah among us are men who practice superstition He replied that is something you find within yourselves. So let it not deter you"

"Indeed, you are praiseworthy, glorious, and peace as you have been taught. Abdullah bin Mas'ud, may God be pleased with him, advised that when sending blessings upon the Prophet peace be upon him, one should perfect the blessings. He taught, Say, O Allah, bestow your blessings, mercy, and favors upon the leader of the messengers, the imam of the pious, the seal of the prophets, Muhammad your servant and messenger, the leader of goodness and the messenger of mercy."

Then he called the man or another and said, When any of you prays, let him begin by glorifying his Lord and praising Him, then send blessings upon the Prophet and then supplicate for what he wishes. Similarly, the supplication of Yunus peace be upon him is mentioned by the Prophet peace be upon him. The supplication of my brother Du al-Nun. No distressed person ever supplicated with it except that Allah relieved his distress."
