Allah is sufficient for us — hasbunallāh

"do not cauterize, and rely upon their Lord." In صَحِيح البُخَارِيّ, it is narrated from اِبْن عَبَّاس, may اللّٰه be pleased with them, who said: "Sufficient for us is اللّٰه, and He is the best disposer of affairs." This was said by إِبْرَاهِيم, peace be upon him, when he was thrown into the fire. It was also said by مُحَمَّد, peace be upon him, when it was said to him: "Indeed, the people have gathered against you, so fear them." But it only increased them in faith, and they said, "Sufficient for us is اللّٰه, and He is the best disposer of affairs.""

"I hope from God Almighty for the greatest reward for my intention to benefit His servants, to mend what has been corrupted of their character, and to heal the ailments of their souls. And in God Almighty I seek assistance, and God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. Chapter on Healing the Souls and Correcting Blameworthy Character The delight of the man of intellect is in his discernment, the delight of the learned man is in his knowledge, the delight of the sage is in his wisdom, and the delight of the one who strives for God, Mighty and Majestic,"

"It was customary that once he did this to someone, few managed to escape. Their first day of surveillance was a Friday, and Allah inspired me to recite his words, sufficient for us is Allah, and he is the best disposer of affairs. I recited this verse 33,000 times that day and spent the night in contemplation. Over the next five days, I completed a full recitation of the Quran daily and broke my fast with water alone. I maintained this for five days, resumed fasting for four more, and was finally liberated after the murder of the Sheikh, with all praises to Allah."

"Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we will return, and there is no power nor strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Great. Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. Peace and blessings be upon Muhammad, the seal of the Prophets, and his family and companions, abundantly. Types of supplications for refuge from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from stinginess, cowardice, being returned to the most decrepit age, the trials of this world, and the torment of the grave."

"Beware of the questions of the contentious and the debates of the obstinate who seek victory without knowledge, for these are bad traits indicating a lack of religion, an abundance of meddling, weak intellect, and strong frivolity. God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. And if a spoken address by tongue comes to you or you come upon words in a book, beware of confronting it with the anger that incites contention before you have ascertained its falsehood with decisive proof."

"it was said to him, Indeed, the people have gathered against you, so fear them. Their faith increased, and they said, Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best disposer of affairs. They returned with a favor from Allah and bounty, untouched by harm. It is narrated from Abu Huraira that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, When Ibrahim was thrown into the fire, he called out, O Allah, indeed you are the one in the heavens, and I am the one on earth who worships you."

"We ask Allah, the Exalted, for protection from misguidance, and we seek refuge with Him from being deceived by the imaginations of the ignorant. The book of Condemnation of Pride and Self-Admiration has ended. Praise be to Allah alone, and sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best disposer of affairs. There is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great. May peace and blessings be upon him, his family, and his companions."

"When Ibrahim, peace be upon him, was placed in the sling of the catapult, bound and tied, and was cast into the fire, he said, Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best disposer of affairs. As narrated by al-Bukhari from Ibn Abbas, Ibrahim said these words when he was thrown into the fire, and Muhammad said them when it was said to him, Indeed, the people have gathered against you, so fear them."

"the people have gathered against you, so fear them.' But it [merely] increased them in faith, and they said, 'Sufficient for us is اللّٰه, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs.'" And He said: "The believers are only those who, when اللّٰه is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely.""

"اللّٰه is the One whose help is sought, upon Him we rely, and there is no power or strength except with اللّٰه. اللّٰه is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. The intention of the people is that the servant worships their Lord with true servitude. When the servant seeks a reward from their master, it is important to understand the nature of this servitude."

"and is listening for when he will be commanded to blow? His companions asked, What should we say then? He replied, Say, Allah is sufficient for us, and the best disposer of affairs, in Allah we trust. Ibn Umar reports with an elevated chain, Whoever exalts himself or struts in his gate will meet Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, while he is angry with him."

"Your protection is mighty and your praise is exalted. Ibn Abbas narrated that, Sufficient for us is Allah, and he is the best disposer of affairs. Abraham, peace be upon him, said it when he was thrown into the fire, and Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said it when the people said to him, Indeed, the people have gathered against you."

"To you belongs praise and the dominion. You have no partner. When he was flung into the fire, he said, Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best disposer of affairs. This phrase was also said by the Prophet Muhammad when he faced threats, and it only increased their faith. They returned with blessings from Allah, unharmed by any evil."

"those near to God from the heavens and the earth, his family, and companions, with many continuous salutations until the Day of Judgment. Praise be to God alone. God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. And Allah knows best. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions."

"You must ride. I mounted his back, and he instructed me to frequently recite, Hasbuna Allah wa nima al-wakeel. Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best disposer of affairs, which I did abundantly. Overcome by sleep, I only awoke when I fell to the ground. I found myself alone, with no trace of the man, in a thriving village."

"and what he wills he does, for if opens the actions of Satan. The prophet, peace be upon him, judged between two men and the one who lost the case turned away saying, Allah is sufficient for us and he is the best disposer of affairs. The prophet, peace be upon him, said, Allah reproaches helplessness, but you must be prudent."

"When they understood that He guarantees the sustenance of His servants, they relied on Him, saying, "Sufficient for us is Allah, and what an excellent guardian He is." Blessings and peace be upon Muhammad, the eradicator of falsehoods and the guide to the correct path, and upon his family, with abundant salutations. As for what follows, reliance on God is a station of the religion and a position of the certifiers of the Faith; indeed, it is one of the highest ranks of those nearest to God."

"So I contemplated the saying of the Exalted: ﴿And whoever relies upon Allah, then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a decreed extent.﴾ So I relied upon Allah, for He is sufficient for me and the best disposer of affairs. Shaqiq said: May Allah grant you success, O Hatim; I have examined the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, and the Qur'an, and found that the four books revolve around these eight benefits."
