The opening of Yā-Sīn

"The Kufis said if the imam remains silent for him, he should pray. On this day or its night, it is recommended to pray four units with the four surahs: Al-An'am, Al-Kahf, Ta-Ha, and Ya-Sin. If one is unable, they should read Ya-Sin, and Surah Al-Sajda, Al-Dukhan, and Al-Mulk. One should not abandon reading these four surahs on the night of Jumu'ah for they have great merit."

"Another narration mentions that he did not exceed eleven rak'ahs during Ramadan or otherwise. The Prophet, peace be upon him, frequently recited certain Surahs in prayer, such as Ya-Sin, Al-Dukhan, Al-Mulk, Al-Zumar, and Al-Waqi'ah. Ibn Hibban narrates from Jundub that "Whoever recites Ya-Sin at night, seeking Allah’s pleasure, will be forgiven."

"He said, "The best worship of my nation is the recitation of the Qur'an." He also mentioned, "Indeed, Allah, the Almighty, recited Ta-Ha and Ya-Sin a thousand years before He created the creation. When the angels heard the Qur'an, they said, 'Blessed is the nation upon whom this is sent down, blessed are the hearts that carry it, and blessed are the tongues that speak it.'" He said, "The best of you is he who learns the Qur'an and teaches it.""

"Abu Hurayrah narrates, "Whoever recites Ha Mim Al-Dukhan at night, seventy thousand angels seek forgiveness for him. Abu Sheikh quotes 'Aisha saying, "Whoever recites at night Alif Lam Mim, Ya-Sin, and Surah Al-Mulk, these will be a light for him." Before sleep, the Prophet, peace be upon him, would recite certain Surahs every night, including Al-Sajdah, Al-Mulk, Al-Zumar, and Al-Waqi'ah."

"and one should recite in this prayer approximately three hundred verses from the specific surahs frequently recited by the Prophet, peace be upon him, such as Surah Ya-Sin, Surah Luqman with its prostration, Surah Al-Dukhan, Surah Al-Mulk, Surah Al-Zumar, and Surah Al-Waqi'ah. If these prayers are not performed, at least these surahs or some of them should be recited."

"of sin, acceptor of repentance, severe in penalty, with abundance. There is no deity except Him. To Him is the destination. In the name of Allah, our door, blessed are our walls, Ya-Sin, our roof. Kaf, Ha, Ya, Ein, Saad, our sufficiency. Ha, Mim, Ein, Sin, Kaf, our protection. So Allah will suffice you against them, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing."

"The hadith, "Indeed, Allah Almighty read Taha and Ya-Sin a thousand years before He created creation," was narrated by al-Darimi from the hadith of Abu Hurairah with a weak chain. The hadith, "The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it," was narrated by al-Bukhari from the hadith of Uthman ibn Affan."
